Called tarara in brazil,  this is a beautiful exotic that has some of the colors of tulip without the splitting tendencies and high cost.  Colors for canary range from red, yellow, oranges, green, tan, and browns.  The wood glues and machines satisfactory and a high polish can be obtained.  Available in larger sizes than tulip.  Suitable uses include:  Cabinets, flooring, turning, brush backs,  and fine boxes.  Brazil

Good boards in this species have very nice "canary" colors that range from reds to yellows. Kiln dried and surfaced on two sides. Planer hit and miss. An easy to work exotic that finishes well. Brazil
